Hole in the Rock Cruise & Island Stopover | Paihia | Shaara Deals

Cruise out to the top of Northland's most famous landmark on the Hole in the Rock Cruise & Island Stopover, a 3-hour small-group boat trip from Paihia run by Island Getaway, listed on Shaara Deals from $145.

144 islands and a cruise through history

The cruise winds through the Bay of Islands' famous scattering of 144 subtropical islands on the way out to Cape Brett Lighthouse, at the very tip of the peninsula guarding the bay.

Through the Hole in the Rock

At Cape Brett, the boat approaches the natural sea arch known as the Hole in the Rock. If the weather and sea conditions allow it, the skipper will drive the boat straight through the hole itself — otherwise you'll cruise in close for a look at this Bay of Islands landmark from the water.

An island stopover on the way home

On the return leg, the cruise stops over on one of the bay's remote islands, where you can take a short walk up to a lookout point or jump straight into the clear water for a swim, before heading back to Paihia.
